US Embassy School Bus Details
If your child/ren take the US Embassy School Bus home from school, please be sure to keep drivers informed when your child/ren are to take the bus home. Many times drivers are delayed looking for children and they find that they have already been picked up or are not at school. This causes delays for everyone.
Thank you for your consideration.

MEDANIT: A film by ICS Alumni Sarah Noa
See the screening of MEDANIT at the Addis International Film Festival at the Hager Fiker Theater (in Piassa) on 6 May 2016 at 5:00 PM
The film is 20 min long, and after the screening there will be a Q&A with Sarah and all the participating women and children of the documentary. This in particular is a very special occasion and enriching experience.
MEDANIT explores a world without sight, where motherhood shines through. Shot in Addis Ababa and set in a shared home for single mothers, the documentary presents the life of the visually impaired Aster Assefa (23). When Aster is confronted with her daughter's wish to see a photograph of her father, she remembers that it was he and not her, who named the child Bethlehem. Drawing on a wealth of folklore, songs and stories, Aster realizes that her daughter is her guide, her eyes. Breaking with her past and looking forward, she decides to rename her daughter Medanit, the Amharic word for medicine and cure.
MEDANIT celebrated its world premiere at the renowned DOK Leipzig - International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film in October 2015. Since then the film has travelled to festivals and screenings in Canada, Poland, Switzerland, France, USA, Ecuador and now Ethiopia.
It is great to hear and be able to see the accomplishments of ICS alums! Hope you can make it.
