Middle School Principal, Elizabeth Johnston

Last week our Community time was a student led assembly on the Learner Profile of “Courageous”. Students from Mrs. Milone’s advisory use a zoo/circus theme to showcase students taking risks and demonstrating courageous qualities. The audience was enthralled by a variety of elements including, a performing dog, a limbo contest, a student playing happy birthday using his violin while riding a “ripstick” and a great demonstration of gymnastic collaboration.   Banners from recent athletic competitions were also presented to the principal. It takes a lot of courage to get up and present in front of the entire middle school and in this case students shared their personal talents and interests, which is even more courageous!

There will be more opportunities for our students to showcase their talents between now and the Christmas Break, please keep an eye on the calendar for the Band and Choir Concert, the MS class drama production and one more student led assembly.
