ICS Learner Profile for November: Reflective

ICS Learner Profile Trait for November is Reflective. ICS Learners give thoughtful consideration to their own learning and experience. They are able to assess and understand their strengths and limitations in order to support their learning and personal development. You can help your child be more reflective by asking questions that require more than a simple yes or no answer. Ask them to explain their learning, behavior, or point of view on a topic. Talk to them about your own point view and guide them in understanding areas they can grow in.

Elementary School Halloween Celebration 28 October, 5:00 – 7:00 PM

We hope you all had a restful and relaxing break.  Thank you all for your support and participation in the Student Goal Setting Conferences. The time between now and the end of the semester will pass very quickly, it is a very busy time of the year. This Friday, the PTA is hosting our annual Halloween Party at school.  Halloween is big in the United States and if you wish to learn more about Halloween, HERE is a good website with some history and context. Basically from our point of view it is a fun time to dress up and enjoy some trick or treating.

PTA Halloween Party will be tomorrow, 28 October and begins at 5:00 PM

Please be aware that we DO NOT allow students to be dressed in costumes during the day (28 Oct).  Parents, drivers, or nannies can bring their costumes after school and students can change at school or at home. All students must be supervised by an adult during the Halloween party.

Entrance cost: 1 bag of candy per child to secure a wrist band before the event.

Candy collection: 24 - 28 October near the cafeteria during morning drop-off (7:45 -8:15 AM) and afternoon pick-up (2:45 -3:20 PM) times.

Yearbook Photos next week.
