Service, Community Impact a Focus for Turn Up Tuesday

ICS High School students dedicate every Tuesday to community service and making an impact.

Turn Up Tuesday is the name given to the day of the week when all ICS service clubs meet to plan and take action on their chosen projects. The idea behind the initiative was to ensure the hundreds of other clubs, activities, sports, and arts programs did not get in the way of students' efforts to serve their local and global communities.
It's a movement aligned with the mission and vision of the ICS community, to empower students to be global citizens and make a positive impact in the world. Many of the projects also link with their curricular courses, like art, physical education, and literacy.
On Tuesday 21 August, the leaders of each of the dozens of service clubs put their work on display in a fair aimed at recruiting students new to the ICS High School to join their cause. Clubs cover a range of topics, including animal welfare, gender equality, hunger prevention, English language lessons, sports exchanges, tutoring, childcare, and beyond.
