Professional Theater Group Hosts Workshops on Campus

ICS students got the chance to work on stage with professional performers!

Four performers and workshop leaders from the Backyard Theatre Ensemble were on campus last week during their tour of Asia and Africa. They performed their play "The Problem is the Ending" and led acting workshops for both Middle and High School students.

Students were challenged by unconventional storytelling during the show, and learned ensemble theater skills during workshops. International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) Theatre students, in particular, benefited from learning about different methods of devising theater, as well as practical work involving theater theory.
