Parent Partnerships Enhance Student Learning, Leadership at ICS

ICS believes that families play a key role in supporting student success.

Alongside workshops and parent information sessions,ICS  hosted the Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences, a personalized opportunity to unify parents, students and teachers in each child’s ICS experience.

"At ICS, we know that parent engagement improves education and the school experience,” Middle School Deputy Principal Cal Stuart said. “The conferences empower students to reflect on their learning then lead conversations with their families and teachers about their successes, challenges, and aspirations.”

In person conferences give parents the chance to meet teachers face-to-face and build deeper relationships around their child’s learning.

Here are some parent reflections:

“I learned about my son’s contributions to class. I heard from him and from his teachers how he is doing and what he is doing.”

“The great thing about these conferences is that it’s an opportunity to convey information about your child’s passions, about suggestions on searching articles, and other methods of learning.”

“It was helpful for me as a mom to hear how well the teachers knew my (children).”
