New ICS Website Wins International Marketing Award

The International Community School of Addis Ababa (ICS Addis) is proud to announce that its newly launched website has received a prestigious Gold Hermes Creative Award, recognizing excellence in international digital communication and design. The award, presented by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), is one of the oldest and most respected global creative competitions, honoring outstanding work in marketing, branding, and digital innovation.
ICS launched its new website in the 2024–25 school year with the goal of better showcasing its identity as a world-leading, inclusive international school rooted in Ethiopia. The site highlights the school’s values, learning approach, diverse community, and commitment to innovation—while also streamlining the user experience for current and prospective families and faculty.
“This award places ICS Addis in the global spotlight as a leader in international school communications,” said Chris Clark, Director of Communications and Marketing at ICS.

“We’re incredibly proud of our team that brought this project to life—not just for the beautiful site, but for what it represents: a clear, compelling reflection of who we are. In a competitive international education landscape, our ability to communicate our story effectively helps us attract and retain mission-fit families and the very best educators from around the world.”
The website was developed in partnership with Finalsite, an industry-leading provider of school websites and communication platforms, and supported by a dedicated cross-functional team at ICS Addis. Together, they focused on creating an intuitive and inclusive digital experience that reflects the school’s mission, vision, and the ICS Way.
With this recognition, ICS Addis joins an elite group of global organizations whose communications set the standard in creativity and impact. The award not only celebrates strong design—it affirms the school’s strategic positioning as a destination for forward-thinking educators and globally minded families.
