NASA Scientist Inspires in Ethiopian Studies Class Visit

ICS High School students embarked on an extraordinary journey through space and science with an Ethiopian American scientist from NASA as their guide.

Invited as the first guest speaker of the year to the High School's Ethiopian Studies class, Dr. Brook Lakew captivated students with insights into the mysteries of our galaxy, the latest advancements in space exploration, and his own experiences working with one of the world’s most renowned space organizations. He shared his experience as Associate Director for Mission Planning, Research, and Development in NASA's Solar System Exploration Division, specializing in developing instruments for planetary exploration, as well as his advocacy for the evolution of Africa's space program.

The session was a remarkable blend of inspiration and discovery, aligning perfectly with ICS Addis's commitment to providing engaging, real-world learning opportunities.
