Musical Highlights from ISSEA Band & Choir 2023

After many months of preparation, 25 ICS student musicians travelled to AISJ in Johannesburg South Africa, to attend the ISSEA Band and Choir Festival 2023.

More than 150 musicians from seven international schools representing southern and eastern Africa. The choirs and bands joined together to rehearse combined repertoire under the batons of guest choir clinician Scott Leithead from Canada and guest band clinician Tremon Kizer from the USA. The collaboration with schools and students from around the world gave ICS musicians exposure to a diverse range of musical influences and perspectives.

One of the few ISSEA events that is not a competition, the culminating concert was a beautiful collaboration of all of the schools coming together through the magic of music.

A huge congratulations to our ICS musicians who showed the most vibrant school spirit, grit, determination, and growth. We are very proud of your achievements.
