Home Language Program Showcases School's International Spirit

The 2024-2025 Home Language Program once again showcase our school’s vibrant mix of culture, language, and community engagement — a true testament to the spirit of our school.
We've been delighted to coordinate eight languages – Amharic, Afrikaans, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swahili – thanks to the incredible dedication of our volunteer facilitators.

These amazing parents have generously given their time every Wednesday afternoon, creating a fun and engaging space where students develop a strong sense of belonging and maintain their home languages in a cordial atmosphere. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the teachers who supported this program by lending their classrooms each week.
The International Day, which was part of our school's 60th Anniversary celebration, provided a wonderful opportunity for the Home Language Program to shine. Our students proudly showcased the colors of their cultures through captivating performances, dances, songs, and other entertaining acts, filling the school with energy and pride. It was a powerful reminder of the rich diversity that makes our community so special.
As the year drew to a close, all families with children enrolled in the program came together for an afternoon of festivities, where we celebrated our students' achievements, shared in the joy of language and culture, and expressed our sincere appreciation to our volunteer teachers. We hope to see you there!
We are looking forward to having new families join our program next school year. If you want to volunteer, please don't hesitate to contact Pascaline Dacharry, coordinator of the program.
