First Week of School 2021-22

First Week of School 2021-22

We are thrilled to kick off the 2021-2022 school year last week. There are few things more satisfying than seeing a school campus sprawling with students. You can feel the enthusiasm in the air as we embark on a new year of learning.

“I’m excited about seeing my friends and being able to socially interact, but also knowing the amount of work, not excited at the same time.” - Kentaro, HS student

“At first I thought I was going to be overwhelmed by all the new classes I was going to have but everything is going smoothly. And I feel happy to be back on the campus.” - Hildana, HS student

“I feel good about the first week and I am looking forward to band and design tech.” - Shehzaad, MS student

“We are so glad for the kids to be back at school. The kids are happier. The parents are happier. Kids belong at school.” - ES parent

Through the excitement of this new school year, it’s important to pause and acknowledge the moments that brought us to this point. The meticulous planning of the ICS campus playbook which was designed to keep the community and campus safe, the commitment and dedication of our staff and families who were vaccinated in order to make the campus a safer place in the midst of a pandemic, and the cooperation of our community to the adherence of our health and safety protocols, all of which have allowed us to open our doors to on-campus learning.

We look forward to slowly introducing a variety of school activities and sports functions that we’ve missed over the last year.

As we enjoy the first week at school, we are grateful for the opportunity to be together again.
