Eagles Taking off for Rugby, Basketball, Swimming Championships

 

This week, from 6-8 February, our dedicated student-athletes from will embark on an exhilarating journey across Africa to participate in the ISSEA season-ending tournaments.

Our basketball teams are heading to the American International School of Johannesburg in South Africa, the rugby squad to the International School of Kenya, and our swimmers to the International School of Tanganyika in Tanzania.

ISSEA Tournaments, which represent the International Schools of Southern & Eastern Africa conference, offer more than just competition; they provide our students with the invaluable experience of traveling to diverse parts of Africa, experiencing new cultures, and forging connections with international peers. Such experiences enrich their global perspective and foster lifelong friendships.

"Throughout the course of the season, our coaches see growth on and off the court -- as athletes, as students, as leaders, and as human beings," Athletics & Activities Director Dave Williams said.

"The ISSEA championship is a celebration of the commitment, values, and connections of our school community. We are proud of what our students have already achieved, and we look forward to cheering them on throughout their tournaments."
