Alumni Reunion Brings Together 50+ Years of ICS History

Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.
ICS hosted an alumni reunion in Washington DC this week, bringing together community members with links to the school that extended more than 50 years. In the heart of DC’s famous Dupont Circle, several members of the school’s current leadership team and former school administrators and faculty gathered with former ICS students representing graduating classes ranging from 1971 to 2018.

“It was a great night of catching up, connecting with each other, networking, and just having fun,” Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives Kristi Williams said. “There are so many incredible people among the ICS community, and we value bringing everyone together to continue to connect, share, and reinforce how much we value every member of our alumni, including students, parents, and staff.”
In attendance along with Kristi were ICS Head of School Earl Chamberlin, Board Chair Pekka Holopanien, Deputy Head of School Cal Callaway, Middle School Principal Kristine Adelsboell, former Head of School Tim Stuart, and former Elementary Principal Susan Ballantyne.
ICS is planning a series of ICS alumni reunions around the world, so stay tuned for more information on these events. Alumni students, parents, and staff can also continue to engage with the school using our digital ICS Alumni Network on the Graduway platform, which allows users to share content socially, volunteer to mentor current students, and build professional network connections.
