There was a tremendous atmosphere in the gym for the Friday Night Lights Double Header Volleyball matches with Bingham last week. Many thanks for coming out and supporting ICS sports. The athletes certainly upped their game due to this support and it was a great atmosphere with the MS band playing live and Jerry the mascot and the ICS thunderclap making their first appearance too.  It was a great night and we want many more just like this in the future.

Honors were even with Bingham in U19/U16 Volleyball as both schools recorded two wins each but since then, both boys teams have won their first games too. Good crowds too at the basketball Monday, to see the Grade 8 and the 76's boys teams take down Bingham. Our U14 girls team had a tough loss on the road, but they will bounce back stronger for that experience no doubt.

The short break means games will be later on next week as below

Thursday 29th September

U14 Girls Basketball vs Andinet

U14 Grade 8 Boys  @ Andinet

Friday 30th September-Triple Header Friday

U19 Girls vs Andinet at 4:00 in the gym

U19 Boys vs Andinet at 5:00 in the gym

U16 Girls vs Andinet at 4:00 ICS Top Court

Please note U12 boys soccer and U12 Cross Country will NOT practice this Saturday morning. Enjoy the holiday.

Week 4 of ASA is going strong. Please remember there is no ASA this Friday, Saturday, Monday or Tuesday due to the Meskel Break.

Our school teams continue to need the exclusive use of the track and fields on the following days and times until the end of their season (Mid November)

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 3:30-5:10 PM

Saturdays 8:00-10:45 AM

Thank you to the majority of users who continue to respect this and are avoiding or stepping off voluntary at these times when our teams are in practice. While this may be inconvenient to some individuals, we do need to remember these facilities are for our students first and foremost and that the school teams do need exclusive use on them.

The fields just won't stay dry! Here's hoping the Meskel celebration starts the beginning of the sunshine season and dries them out as there are still many boggy areas on them. Please avoid going on them this next week to ensure they get that opportunity to drain and recover from this week's heavy downpour's.

Have a great Meskel weekend everyone!
